Ty understands that life can be full of challenges and complexities. His goal is to work with the individual to build on their strengths so that they can overcome the challenges and complexities that life brings them.
Ty is currently in his final year of his Master of Counselling degree through City University of Seattle. He is currently a practicum student under supervision of a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). Prior to this current degree, Ty completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at the University of Alberta in 2020.
Ty will be practicing virtual counselling in Alberta. He provides services to adults and adolescents who may bring various needs or difficulties to therapy. Ty works in a client-centered or humanistic approach to working with clients, understanding that each client has their own strengths and needs that they bring into counselling. He practices a range of psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, humanistic, mindfulness, solution-focused brief therapy, and narrative therapy
